Review: I have been a Bluehost customer for one year and received an email congratulating me on my account anniversary and offering a free site review / SEO service. When I tried to follow the link, I was automatically redirected to live chat support. During the chat: The agent initially confirmed the email as legitimate, then later called it spam without providing any proof. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, my request was denied. I attempted to escalate via email to support (snabel a) bluehost.com, but the message was rejected with a 550 5.4.1 Access Denied error. This raises serious concerns about: *The legitimacy of the email *How Bluehost handles customer support and escalation Advice to other customers: Document all chats, emails, and system messages. Be aware that support may give conflicting answers and that there is no functioning email channel for escalation.

Review: The hosting uptime is generally excellent, I can't recall any problems with down time on all the sites I manage. However, I find their customer service to be very disappointing. They used to have a live chat feature that was very good and the agents really knew their stuff. Sadly, it looks like Bluehost is going with everyone else in ramming AI into everything that really didn't need it, because now the help button says "Ask BLU" and that's their AI chat agent that really doesn't know much. I called in yesterday and got a really rude agent for the first time ever, she talked over me (and proceeded to ask me "Can I finish?" while I was trying to explain to her that she was not understanding the problem correctly in the first place), didn't really know what she was talking about, and went in to make changes on my backend after we ended the call! I did not ask for those changes (which didn't solve the problem, by the way). Bring back live chat, hire agents who are tech-fluent, get rid of

Review: Bluehost has reasonable pricing and the up time with our domains and emails has been great. That said, their support is not great. Specifically, there is a button to "Chat With A Live Agent" which pops up a bot window...NOT a live agent. After you go through a long list of qualifying questions it finally gets you to a live agent. In my case, none of the options the bot provided were what I wanted and I just had to go with Other until I finally got to a live agent. That said, the agent was helpful, but English was clearly not their primary language. We got through it, but it was challenging as responses were not clear or comprehensive and I had to keep redefining what I was asking to get to the root solution. At the end, my situation was resolved and the agent was certainly polite and persevered with me, but it was not a good customer service experience.

Review: The chatbot did a good job, but it would be much easier on my end to have the OPTION of an email exchange. For some support questions it's more efficient on the user end to have asynchronous communication, since I have to look things up, test things, etc, and I don't always have time to do it all right now, while the chat is going. Same reason I don't want to do a phone call

Review: Renewal disabled I contacted blue host a couple of days ago because my bank had blocked a charge presuming it was a fraudulent charge. I ask them to remove my wordpress from my website that I have not used in about 8 years. Chetan confirmed that the auto-renew option was disabled and that BlueHost will not be charging again. I assume Chetan help many customers simultaneously, but the chat was very slow (took about ten minutes).

They were also very fast and efficient. I was able to get assistance from Bluehost's chat app and great personal help from Drake S. I now have a fast and well functioning website that I continue to develop. Bluehost's File Manager is fast and easy to use and my website has experienced no down time.

Review: In my experience, Bluehost has not been a reliable hosting provider. The security features they promote can be misleading, and I’ve noticed an unusually high number of compromised sites on their platform. It gives the impression that these issues may encourage users to upgrade to their costly Securiguard service. Performance has been inconsistent as well, and I’ve had to resolve more technical problems here than with any other host. I’ve had a considerably better experience with GreenGeeks so far since switching.

Review: I have created many websites through the years. But, I’ve never experienced such an exceedingly complicated, non-user friendly, web creation program as what you have. At this point, all we should need to do is drag and drop, cut and past, to be able to create our site. But, to use your site, I need a university degree. I wasted two days just trying to figure out how it works. I spent hours watching tutorials just to learn how to do what is supposed to be very basic stuff. After all of that, I still didn’t have the first page completed, and still didn’t know how to do many of the necessary things. That’s insane!

Review: So I was originally referred to Bluehost by renowned podcaster/web personality Pat Flynn years ago. Things started out smoothly and somewhat cost effective. As the years went by Bluehost seemed to hike hosting fees higher and higher. I stopped putting time into these sites and felt like it was a money pit. I ended up switching to a lower cost option. Long story short I tried to leave and they did a money grab to get me for a few more months and added some BS services I didn't want. They don't want people leaving and watch your pockets on the way out. Rather than cancel me they added services and put me on auto-renewal. Thanks a lot customer service. Long story short I am super happy I left Bluehost and went Hostinger. Bluehost was not professional, overcharges and basically tried to squeeze every dollar they could from me.

Review: This is the worst possible hosting you can choose for your website. I paid them 4 days ago. The money was instantly debited from my account account. But I did not receive any confirmation mail or anything. It seemed suspicious so I immediately contacted customer support. They said it takes 2 hours max to know the status. I waited 2 hours. Nothing. Contacted again. They said the money was paid but the transaction was not successful so it'll be refunded and I'll received the status in max 48 hours. Nothing again for 48 hours. Contacted again to be told it's a common issue for Indians and it'll be solved in 24 hours again. Nothing again for 24 hours. Which was last night when I ran out of patience and did not believe the customer service agent until I received official mail from them stating it'll be done in 24 hours. It's been almost 24 hours again and still there's no sign of my money, nor any updates from their side about the return. This is extremely unprofessional and callous because

Highly unethical business practices. They cancel your annual subscription, which is a one-time payment, but secretly try to keep the monthly subscription active, hoping you won't notice.

Review: The entire process was a complete joke while I tried to utilize the functionality of "BLU" the stupidest AI in the world. Once I got past "NLU" I was able to get the issue resolved quickly thanks to a HUMAN helping. I know that AI is hotter than a diarrhea shit after a bad vindaloo curry these days, but if you can't afford a good AI having a crappy one only makes you look bad, not "with it!"

Review: I had to migrate the website per a customer request and needed a partial refund for 11 months worth of hosting, but since you only give 15 days of refund window after purchase I could not get a refund for the remainder of the unused months. This is unacceptable. They asked if I could transfer the account to someone else, but I'd rather not do this to someone else. I am cancelling all my Bluehost accounts and switching to different hosting providers, because I usually purchase hosting for multiple years at a time for customers.

Review: This is my second review here to give everyone an update on how their "quick resolution" is going. I paid on 5th and after spending almost an hour everyday talking to different customer support agents, I am yet to get any resolution on my issue. They'll ask you for the same information again and again. I paid through UPI payment request. Their system can send the request instantly, but can't track it even after a week once the payment is made. All the customer support agents will keep asking you to wait 24 more hours, until that is over and you reach out again to go through the same harassment. This company is a joke. If you're from India and you want to actually receive service for your money, go for some other provider. If not, donate it to charity, not these cheats.

Review: I have had to use Bluehost Chat a lot over the last several weeks. The human agents, as the expression goes, have been a GOD send. When I say GOD I always mean JESUS. So I say a big thank you to Bluehost for this free, on my end, service you provide. I started to listen to the youtube meeting about version 6.9 and with some fear and trepidation will continue to see if can learn more than I have so far. Slow leaner doesn't mean I can't learn. Today I am pleased to repeat the 2nd last Chat Feedback and supply Feedback for the last. Just 1 or 2 things before that. 1 I pray someone can make this Beta Chat better, but perhaps it only happens to dinosaurs like me on antiquated computers like mine. 2 I was trying to complete the last Chat by providing Feedback and before I could complete typing something in Notepad and came back to Chat it was closed and I am determined to give the Feedback if possible, please.

Review: I have been a customer for years, and I've been able to tolerate their unwieldy system and unsolicited sales pitches. The last straw involves email. Someone hacked one of my email accounts and used it to send 600+ spam emails. The BH system then automatically shut down ALL my email accounts' ability to send. BH told me to change my password on the hacked account, which I did. Then they said it would take 24-48 hours for any of my emails to resume normal functionality. Here's the fun part. They said if I TESTED those accounts, it would delay the resumption of normal functionality! I depend on email for my business. I do NOT employ automated email marketing. But I am being penalized for of someone else's crime. And Bluehost only cares about their recurring revenue stream. Count me out.

Review: My friend purchased web hosting from Blue Host almost a year ago and was very happy with their services. Since I was starting my own business, I decided to buy a year of hosting with them and move my domains to Blue Host. What a mistake that was. They charged me the transfer fee (which I was aware of) and then charged my credit card for another year even though my domain name was just paid for a few months prior. What made me suspicious was the fact that they charged my card without even creating an order. That is right no order, no bill, no nothing. I spent the next four months arguing with Blue Host about this charge and their lack of proper support. I stopped even trying back in September. I still have not been reimbursed, or apologized to.

Review: Bailing after 15 years as a loyal customer. Atrocious support wait times, slow servers, and the final nail in the coffin—forcing me to upgrade plans and disrupts dozens of websites. The entire reason I chose BlueHost initially was for the plan they forced me off of. Chat support says 100% of customers on my plan lost it and they are willing to lose those customers despite the many thousands of dollars we have poured into them over the years. Clearly BlueHost, which was always a second-tier host, has declined further and managed to be neither excellent nor economical. EIG / Web.com's merged entity, Newfold Digital has a death grip on so much of this industry. I've fled their companies before for other projects only to see them bought up and forced into mediocrity.

Review: Just poor customer service. We subscribed to the web pro to help with rebuilding our website. I started on it the next day and I was waiting for live customer support and it said 1 minute until someone assists. I waited over an hour...and gave up tried it again later same thing no service. I tried the next day same problem. I finally connected with aa live agent to cancel my expensive service and they said sorry about losing you but we will cancel and refund. It is 2 weeks since I canceled and it still isn't reversed on oir credit card. I checked back tbey said it is in processing. They charged my card in less than 24 hours and now almost 2 weeks later still processing. Very unhappy business owner here.

Review: We used Bluehost as our web hosting service between 2007 and 2020. The hosting service was good, but the support was FANTASTIC. We switched in 2021 for different reasons, but last month I thought I would try them again. What a mistake. My two encounters with telephone support were so bad that I cancelled our contract within a week of signing up. And although the human messaging agents resolved other issues quickly, one made some heavy attempts at upselling, which bordered on aggressive. Plus, you only reach a human messaging agent after making your way through a long-winded and imbecilic encounter with the initial AI messenger. I will not be returning to Bluehost hosting, and I do not recommend it. It is disappointing as Bluehost once offered good prices and outstanding support. Those days are over :(

Review: Back in August I reached out to Bluehost to host my website, the transition was fairly smooth, but now not so much. Due to Microsoft update that was discussed on the news which has caused major problems which just transpired December 22, 2025, it took my plug ins down from my website. I reached out to Customer support who did not know how to get them back and had me pay 165.00 to get the problem fixed and never advised me that I had to personally fix them myself. I called the number after paying the 165.00, and they advised me that I had to do it myself, wtf. I have no time to do it today while they walk me through this which I have never heard of in my 25 years of having my website hosted. So now I have to leave my plug ins downs, which is ridiculous and problematic to my business. You are only allowed a 25 minute teaching experience and then the call must be ended.
