Review: We recently had a support ticket involving a WordPress Multisite environment. Initially, only one site was affected. I would like to acknowledge Mike O., who initially worked on the case by removing the VIP Card site from the multisite network and performing cleanup. Although this took some time, his effort helped stabilize the environment early on. The issue escalated after Vasco P. (L3 Technical Support) recommended creating individual subdomains with separate document roots for multisite child sites. This recommendation was technically incorrect for a WordPress Multisite setup and resulted in three additional child sites returning 403 errors, even though they were working correctly before. After multiple support efforts finally it was resolved, but it became more complex than necessary due to incorrect guidance earlier in the process.

This recommendation was technically incorrect for a WordPress Multisite setup and resulted in three additional child sites returning 403 errors, despite them working correctly prior to the change. Following this, Nicola K. advised that because the subdomains were loading from empty document roots, the affected sites would need to be exported or rebuilt as standalone WordPress installations.

Review: I decided to use VPS services because of the option to scale the resources. When I wanted more productivity, I did more than one upgrades. Even after making the changes of the numbers of both vCPU and RAM, I still had to wait for e.g. update of an app. I know that the app update in general does not require too much time or resources. But here I had to wait for completion of the procedure. During my stay there I asked for IPv6, but it was responded that at this moment it cannot be delivered.

Review: I'm publishing this review because… I'm publishing this review because their website is so misleading when offering their hosting plans: They have a lot of misinformation. According to their website, the Entry Cloud plan for WordPress comes with OpenLiteSpeed Caching technology and they mention it several times in their features, but it's totally far from reality. When you go to make the payment, they charge you extra if you want the Light Speed service. They should clarify that their plans come with Apache as their own support told me and that if you want Light Speed you have to pay separately.

Review: I have moved from another hosting service to scala, everything is great, smooth, fast. Besides that, I recently had an issues with some sort of plug-in problem, website had serious error and can no longer visit. The scala team (Tray, thanks again) answered in less than 5 seconds and help me locate the problem in less than 30 seconds, and magically, fix the issue in another 30 seconds. No more need to say here, five star service. Best money I spent in year 2025

Review: I am a ScalaHosting client since May 2019. Overall I give them 5 stars for support and instant response. But they need to invest more in shared hosting because its availability is not good and there are a lot of downtime almost daily for 2-5 minutes some other times 10-15 minutes which a big number. Thanks.

Review: VPS is the way to go I initially had a bad experience with their standard business email packages (which btw are on a shared server) due to downtime and getting blacklisted. I opted to upgrade to their VPS hosting, which included email. This had some additional features which I could use, but also provided a much better service for my customers.

Review: Any time we have any problems or any… Any time we have any problems or any need for anything these guys get right on it. They have given us support for every problem in less than an hour and have gone so far our of their way to ensure we are satisfied with their services. Compared to the others, Scala give more bang for the buck in their different hosting packages. Other web hosts limit how many domains you can use and then give you great amount of bandwidth.

Review: onio I. was very profession and patient in dealing with my issue. I like their service. They transparent and respond to chats quickly. Edited: If you are looking for a reliable and fast server, Scalahosting is great. Their support is efficient at resolving and responding to ticket very fast. But I had to leave when the refused downgrade migration. They demanded I pay $40 and later $20 to migrate my sites to a lower plan. But they migrate free if I was transferring from a different hosting or upgrading. I suppose they do this to prevent customers from downgrading but that's a dumb move because they will end up losing customers that would have stayed loyal for years on a plan they can afford. They forget their price is high and there are competitions with far less prices and efficiency than them. My sites weren't earning so downgrading was necessary for me. If they ever change this policy in future, I will return.

Review: It would have been prudent to refrain from responding, as I consistently contest inaccurate evaluations. Your recent reply does not accurately capture the sequence of events. It lacks a thorough representation of the circumstances. Would you like me to provide excerpts from our previous communications? I have maintained detailed records of all support interactions and emails. We opted to give Scala another chance following outreach from the co-founder. However, we ultimately decided to terminate our engagement due to two more critical issues: the email complications linked to your server and the unauthorized access to our WordPress dashboard, despite my explicit request for support not to do so. I also have an apology (well almost an apology) email from the support technician involved, which I can

Review: Updatred after a few years. I reduced by 2 stars because I have found backup and restore to be unreliable and often requires a troubleshooting support ticket every time. Also SSL often doesn't work when first transfering a website require a manual request to update a certificate. Ultimately, this consistently hurts my workflow and considering the cost I am paying compared to my previous host, it's not worth the time and effort to go back and forth with support, which sometimes is excellent, and sometimes repetitive and exhausting. I have been hosting websites since 1994. We're talking the days of BBS's, floppy drives, and 14.4k modems being the coolest thing since sliced bread. I have used dozens of hosting companies, and rarely have I found one I could count on with my clients. ScalaHosting is the first company that made me feel great about their services right off the bat. Their customer service and tech support has been top notch, as is the quality of their servers.

Review: Online staff are quick to respond (que times are short), and they ask you to explain your question / problem to target a response. BUT then they just give you one piece of the puzzle. It would be more helpful if they could say "Oh you are trying to do X. Have you seen our great "how to" writeup on that at http://blahblahblah?" And the reason they can't do that is there isn't one. Wix and other similar service providers have great articles and videos on for example hosting with ScalaHosting while you keep your domain name and email somewhere else. Scala just wants you to switch everything to them ($$$) and are not helpful with other scenarios. Bad on them.

Review: I had been using a small email hosting and decided to transfer my domain to Scala as well. The online chat help operator (Valentin N) was very helpful as we navigated this change. He also helped me obtain a discount on my upgraded email hosting. I'd recommend you offer promo pricing to current customers who upgrade their plans. This would help retain them and gain an advantage over those competitors who offer incentives to leave Scala. Valentin was able to help, after a long chat session, and we are now happy to stay with Scala. The 24/7 online chat support made the difference between staying with Scala and leaving to one of their competitors.

Review: Spanel is not stable they offer an interface that doesn't properly work, for example we use Spanel for email and apparently certificate doesn't renew automaticaly support doesn't want to correct and investigate the issue because they say we need to pay for advanced support. We'll switch to cpanel, they don't get the business plan there. Terrible enterprise.

Review: been with ScalaHosting since early 2009 - and must admit, that thru these years, among all tested hostings, this is the one I trust and like the most :) there were some minor issues from time to time, but also were quite quickly solved with a hint or help from the staff which can answer blazingly fast no matter when you send a support ticket. so why the -1 star you'll ask? well, I believe that even perfect things can still be better, so I just leave room for another great innovations that ScalaHosting would apply in the future! :)

Review: Helpful Team, But Inadequate Infrastructure and Protection I initially signed up with Scala Web Hosting after seeing a recommendation from a well-known digital marketer. The onboarding process was smooth, and their team was eager to assist with the migration from my previous Canadian hosting provider. At first, things seemed promising. However, just two weeks into the service, one of my websites experienced a significant cyberattack, followed shortly by attacks on my remaining sites. I escalated the issue via a support ticket, which eventually reached the CTO. Their advice was to use a third-party service like Cloudflare and activate "under attack" mode — a solution that felt contradictory to the robust, built-in protection Scala claimed to offer.
